EventDo carefully protects and respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains the manner in which we collect and use your personal data in connection with using our platform when handling booking data in our mobile applications (the "Service"). It also explains your rights to us and how you can enforce your rights.

Please read this privacy policy before using the Service. By using the Service you agree to this privacy policy and our processing of your personal data.

EventDo AB, corporate no. 556847-3499 ("eventDo", "we", "us", "our") is responsible for the processing of your personal data as described here. If you have any questions or comments regarding your personal data  you can contact us at any time at privacy@eventdo.se.

1. The processing of the users personal data

EventDo is the personal data controller for the processing of the personal data that you as a user submit in connection with the registration and use of the Service.

Regarding providing the service to you, the Service Provider is responsible for the processing of your personal data when establishing and distributing the Service to you. EventDo is, in this case, a personal data assistant to the Service Provider and processes the personal data in accordance with the Service Provider's instructions.

When Events are provided to the user, both the personal data responsibility for the Service Provider and the personal data support responsibility for eventDo cease to exist, as processes for private use are not covered by data protection legislation.

1. The personal data we collect

EventDo may process the following types of personal information about you in order to provide you with you the Service and to improve our service:

  • User Information. In order to use the Service, you must register for a user account. When you sign up you will need to provide personal information, for example, your mobile number. You also have the option of adding other information for your account settings, such as your name or your email.

  • Booking information. You will need to give your approval to the Service Provider, to allow us to obtain information about the Event. Your booking data may contain several types of personal information about you, such as booking title, time, date, location, and mobile number and other relevant information related to the booking.

  • Other information related to the booking. We may collect other relevant Booking-related information about your Events, for example when a booking relates to a car inspection, the registration number for your car may be included in the information sent from the Service Provider.

  • When you contact us regarding the Service, we may collect personal information. Correspondence may include user information and other relevant information about yourself that you share with us. For example, we collect relevant information about your contacts with our customer support, such as date, time, contact method and conversation topic. Please note that we receive all the information you provide us. As email may not always be 100% secure, we recommend that you do not include sensitive personal information in your messages to us.

  • Customer surveys. We may contact you in order to ask you to participate in digital customer surveys. When you choose to participate, you may be asked to provide certain information that may contain personal information.

  • Technical data. We collect technical information from your mobile device (or computer) when you are using the Service, such as IP address, browser type and version, screen resolution, language settings, geographical location, operating system, and computer platform. Technical data may also include information on how you use the Service and if you encounter technical issues. Although we do not normally use technical data to identify specific persons, some persons may sometimes be identified using it.

2. How you personal information is collected

Information provided by you. Most of the information that eventDo collects about you, is provided by you. You may directly or indirectly provide us with information about yourself. This may be done in several ways, for example when you register your user account as mentioned above. You can always choose not to provide us your information. However, certain information is needed in order to provide you with the Service. If you do not provide us with these personal data, it may lead to that you cannot register your user account, or cannot benefit from some of the functions of the Service.

The personal information we collect. In addition to the information you provide to us, we can also collect and process information about you from the Service Providers. This is always done in a responsible manner with regards to your integrity. For example, we may use your mobile number to retrieve Events containing booking-related data from the current Service Provider.

3. How your information will be processed

EventDo processes your personal information for the following purposes and based on the following legal bases:

  • In order for us to provide the Service to you. We process your personal information to administrate your user account and provide you with the Service. For example, your personal information is used to confirm your identity when you sign up for the Service and technical data to ensure that the Service is presented in the best way for you and your device.

  • In order to register your user account. We process your personal information in order to register your user account. This is necessary for us to be able to enter into an agreement with you about the Service.

  • In order to identify and convey your Events. After your approval, we may use your telephone number to retrieve Booking-related data regarding your Events from the Service Providers. This is necessary for us in order to fulfill your request according to the Service. Please note that by joining the Service you agree that eventDo may collect, store, share and analyze sensitive personal information to the extent necessary to fulfill your request and provide you with the Service.

  • In order to communicate with you. Your mobile number, name and email address will be used by us in order to send you relevant information about the Service. This is necessary for legitimate interests, including our interest in promoting and maximizing your use of the Service. You are free to use or disable notifications in your settings, or follow the instructions for deregistration shown in your account settings. However, we may continue to send you important administrative messages, that are required for us to provide you with the Service.

  • In order to provide customer support. Your personal data (for example, user data, technical data, subscription data etc.) may be used to investigate, respond to and resolve complaints and problems with the Service (for example, bugs). This is necessary in order for us to provide you with the Service as promised and for legitimate interests, including our interest in ensuring the service's functionality.
  • In order to conduct customer surveys. Your name and email address may be used by us to conduct customer surveys. By continuously collecting qualitative feedback from you and other users, we may gain a deeper understanding of our users' problems and needs. This is necessary in order to achieve legitimate interests, including our interest in developing and improving the Service.

  • In order to develop and improve the Service. We may use technical data, customer surveys and other aggregated and anonymised data (for example, booking data that are not specifically related to you, and don’t contain sensitive personal data) to develop and improve the Service. This may include, for example, troubleshooting, information analysis, investigative measures, statistical purposes and tests (for example, beta testing and evaluation of new functions, that are in line with the service). For example, we may collect and evaluate technical data about your use of the Service to be able to analyze and understand how the Service is used to make it more intuitive. This is partly necessary for us to be able to provide you with the Service, but primarily to achieve legitimate interests, including our interest in developing and improving the Service and its functions.

  • In order to defend our business interests and rights. We may use personal information if required by law or if we believe it is necessary in order for us to defend our legal rights and interests, as well as the interests of others. This can be required, for example, if a claim is directed against us, to achieve regulatory compliance or to fulfill audit obligations, and to provide information in connection with an acquisition, merger or sale of our business.

4. How your personal information is shared

Your personal information will never be sold. Your personal information will also not be transmitted or in any other way be used for purposes other than those we inform you of above.

EventDo works to deliver a service and user experience as good as possible. This means that information needs to be shared with:

  • People working with us. Your personal data will be shared with people who work with us when justified. Your personal information will only be shared with people who need access to them in order to do their jobs, for example, to provide you with customer support. Of course, everyone working with us is covered by strict confidentiality.

  • Service Providers. Your personal information may be shared with Service Providers that help us provide you with the Service. EventDo shares your telephone number with the Service Providers in order for them to be able to send Events to you within the mediation service. This is necessary for the Service Provider to be able to ensure that the right person receives the Event.

  • EventDo's subcontractors and companies in the same group as eventDo. Other companies within the same group as eventDo and of eventDo hired subordinates (for example, there may also be other suppliers who help us with things like marketing, email and similar) may receive your personal data for processing according to the purposes stated above. EventDo is responsible for ensuring that any such processing of your personal data carried out by such a third party takes place according to the data protection legislation and only for the purposes that we inform you of above.

  • When required by law or for legitimate purposes. Sometimes we may need to share your personal information with others due to legal obligations. For example, when required to respond to a request from the police, regulatory authority or other public authorities. We may also share your personal information if it is necessary to defend or prevent fraud or in connection with a legal process, for example, to enforce our general terms and conditions or to defend eventDo, our partners, your or others rights.

  • We may share your personal information with a potential buyer in connection with the sale of the whole or a part of our business or assets. Of course, we will never sell your personal data to a third party unless you have approved it.

5. Your personal information is processed here

EventDo's processing of your personal data is generally only in Sweden. However, there may be certain situations when your personal data is processed in another country within the EU/EEA and in exceptional cases also in countries outside the EU/EEA.

Processing of your personal data within the framework of the Service is only done within the EU/EEA. In case eventDo at some point needs to use a subcontractor with establishment in a country outside the EU/EEA, eventDo will take all appropriate legal, technical and organizational measures to ensure that your personal data is handled securely and with an adequate level of protection (for example, by means of approved standard clauses and Privacy Shield) comparable to and at the same level as the protection offered within the EU/EEA.

6. How long do we store your information

EventDo saves your personal information as long as needed to fulfill the purpose for which the data was collected. How long this depends on the type of information involved. We regularly check our needs to keep the data, taking into account applicable legal requirements.

Until you delete your user account or revoke your consent. Normally, we need to keep most of your information as long as you have an active user account in the Service. Personal data processed under your consent (for example, sensitive personal data) will be erased when you withdraw your consent or when the purpose for which you consented has been met.

But sometimes longer. Your personal information can sometimes be saved even after you have deleted your account or withdrawn your consent. This applies, for example, if and to the extent that we believe it is necessary to be able to defend our legal rights, legitimate interests and the interests of others. For example, your personal data can be stored longer if required by law, such as accounting and tax legislation.

7. Cookies

Like many companies, we use "cookies" and similar techniques in the Service. Cookies and similar data are used to save your account settings and account information (such as name, email, address or phone number) and to track your use of the Service, in order to provide you with customer support and to better understand how we can improve the Service. You can read more about how we use cookies in our Cookie Policy.

8. Changes in the Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may occasionally need to be updated to reflect changes in the Service or our collection and use of your personal data. You will be informed of any significant changes being made (for example by email), but we also recommend that you read this policy periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes made. When the last update was made, will be stated at the top of this privacy policy.

9. Your rights

You are always welcome to contact eventDo by email: privacy@eventdo.se if you have any questions about personal data processing or if you wish to exercise any of your rights as follows:

  • Right to object to the processing. You have the right to object to your personal data being processed for legitimate interests. In that case, we either have to prove that there are compelling justifications for the processing, which weighs heavier than your interests or stop processing. You can always contact us for more information on the balance of interests that have been made. You also have the right to object to your personal data being used for direct marketing.

  • Right to access and move your data. You have the right to request a copy of your personal information and information on how these have been collected, used, shared, etc. The first copy is free. You also have the right to transfer your personal data to another person responsible for personal data.

  • Right to delete data ("the right to be forgotten"). You have the right to request that your personal data be deleted, for example, if a task is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or otherwise processed, or if there is no legal basis for processing the data.

  • Right to correct information. You have the right to correct inaccurate or non-complete information about yourself.

  • Right to limitation. You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be limited until incorrect or incomplete information about you has been corrected or until an objection from you has been investigated.

  • Right to withdraw your consent. You have the right to withdraw any consent you have given us at any time. Note, however, that it does not affect the process performed before the recall. Normally, you need to revoke your consent by deleting your user account in the Service. This is because the Service does not work unless you allow us to use sensitive personal information.

It should be aware that other legal rights or obligations (for example, confidentiality, accounting, and tax laws) may prevent us from disclosing or transmitting any or all of your personal data, or from erasing your information immediately.

10. Complaints

You have the right to contact and complain to The Swedish Data Protection Authority if you believe that your personal data has been handled incorrectly by us.
